IPA – Brew Review

I brewed up another batch of beer in late June and bottled it on July 24th. Having learned from my past batches, I waited the full 10 days before opening it.

This is my first batch that I wasn’t really satisfied with. This IPA kit from Brewer’s Best was a little more complicated than the other batches I’ve made, but not by much. The most outstanding difference with this batch is how cloudy the final product is. There’s a strong yeast-y nose at first, but then it lightens up with a bright hoppy finish and a distinctive aftertaste.I added extra bittering Saaz hops to the Cascade bittering and aroma, and the Columbus bittering hops. If I were to  make it again I’d probably add some orange peel or a few cloves to balance out the cloudiness.

Palatable, but not quite what I expected.
