It seems that “Thanks So Much” has become the new “thanks.”
I’m not sure why. I caught myself saying it the other day and suddenly is just didn’t seem right anymore.
But everybody’s saying it. Like this guy at the coffee shop. He says it with a bow. Again, I’m not sure why. He seems like a nice enough guy, I guess. But he’s got this arm-grab-bow thing going on when he hands me my change. And it’s always with the “Thanks So Much,” as though I favoured him in some peculiar way other than just buying a cup of joe. It’s a bit unusual, but who am I to judge?
I wonder what the new “thanks so much” will be, whenever it comes around. Maybe it’ll be something like, “thanks “*tard.”
